Middle of Nowhere Fun (MoN) is a private organization that promotes outdoor activities to people who loves nature.  Started in December 2020 mid Covid-19 pandemia, and based off the border cities of El Paso, TX, US, and Cd Juarez, CHIH,  MX; what started as a small project to encourage a few friends to get active, evolved into a larger movement for the community.  Now MoN organices challenges and activities for beginners year round.  Helping them stay healthy and feel accomplished.

• The One Mile Hike -  First edition in Jan 2022 is a beginners friendly hike of 1 mile.  Every first Sunday of the month hikers visit a different place to enjoy the views and know more about the local outdoor set up.  Aztec Cave in the Franklin Mountains National Park TX,   Mont Cristo Rey in Sunland Park NM,  and more trails near the area are visited.

• MTB 101 Beginners Ride - Once a month  since 2021 a ride is hosted for beginner cyclists interested in riding mountain trails. They are introduced to basic knowledge of trail etiquete and riding technic skills.  Theme of the ride changes by season to make it more fun. 

• Scenic Bike Ride - Through 2023,  a ride was hosted every first Thursday of the month. Started at Copia St, near the international bridge of the Americas and headed out to one of the most beautiful views in El Paso, Scenic Drive overlook. Intermediate pace ride 16 MILES/25 KMS approx. Road, gravel, or MTB bikes were welcome.

• Outdoors Yoga  - Trial edition in summer of 2023. Due to the extreme weather in the region, ranking the lowest between 15F in the winter and up to 96F during summer, the event is seasonal and presents a unique yoga class with non traditional background music, like, metal, rock, edm and more. 

• Reto MN 30,000 Mts Elevación 2022 - Cycling teams were challenged to reach almost 100k ft in elevation in bicycle rides in one month. The result: more than 50 cyclists reaching the goal before the end date. 

• Rodadita Bordera - As part of a binational community this ride took place once a month on Tuesdays  2021 -2022 at the mexican border with the US. bringing the cyclists of two countries closer than ever before. 

For the more experience riders who are looking to improve and challenge their current skill set, Middle of Nowhere hosts a cycling team, that competed in the following races:  Chupacabras MTB 2022, 2023. Mas Causa 2021-2023. The Puzzler 2022, 2023. 12 Hours of Old El Paso MTB 2021-2023. Reto Cusi Mansanisima 2021, 2022.  Ep Enduro 2021.  La Onza, Creel 2021- 2023.  RBGG Rio Bravo Gravel Grind Race 2023. The Coyote Classic, 2022, 2023. The Tour de Tolerance 2022, 2023.  

As part of the new projects for 2024,  a night ride will be taking place on Tuesdays at Monks trail (Momo-nks MTB Night Ride) and several other challenges for local teams.
